God has given everyone a platform. Some are broad and highly visible, others are small and often unnoticed. Regardless, everyone has a place constructed by God to stand and share their testimony of God’s love and grace. The platform that I am referring to is not made of wood but of a more excellent substance. It is an elevated place where God has created for you to share your story, and everyone has a story to share.
There are many platforms of different shapes and sizes. Some are small or seem to be, while others are much larger. However, all platforms measure the same when they impact the lives of others, even just one.
Is it social media where you share God’s grace and love toward others? At your job? Is it in the church where God has placed you to make a difference? Or, most of all, is it a family member that God has given you to be a good influence in their lives? Sometimes, we step off our platform and find ourselves in places where our story is unseen or heard. I encourage you to seek God to point you to your platform.
Monthly Challenge: Examine your platform. Where and how do you have opportunities to share God’s greatness? Are there other “platforms” like social media, your workplace, or your home that you could do a better job sharing about Jesus? If so, look for ways this month to inspire and encourage others.
Leader’s Corner: Sometimes, our positions change, and so do our “platforms.” Be creative in making sure that, as a leader, you always have an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.
Sometimes, we have to step off of one platform so that we can step up on another platform. Don’t miss the opportunity when God invites you to speak into the lives of others, regardless of how high or low the platform may seem.
Quote: “In many churches, altars often come before the platform. This symbolizes the need to kneel at the altar before stepping up on a platform to speak or sing.” Author Unknown
Scripture Prayer: “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.” I Corinthians1: 27 NKJV
Lord, help me recognize my platform, the place where you have elevated me to speak into the lives of others. Whether through social media, public speaking, or talking to my neighbor, help me step up on my platform, stand, and share your marvelous grace in my life. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen!
